Before we leave for Hali, a short drive through Djúpivogur, the oldest harbor city in Iceland. Very small town and a good sense of humor…

The guy at the recption told me that there are Red-throated divers just outside of the town to be seen. Using the Tamron 150-600 I was able to grab some shots at distance.

To get to the place I had to drive on the the airport runway 🙂 At the end of the runway, we could see Papey Island.

The hotel we had was located directly at the small harbor. Some redshanks, oystercatchers and seagulls where close to the shore.

The police station does not look too busy anymore.

Then we leave towards Hali our next 2-night stay. On the way, close to road 1 we stopped for this nice arrangement of cliffs.

Further on we take a short side drive to the Fláajökull. We got really close to the glacier with a short walk.

After we checked in, we drove a quick round to Fjallsárlón, Kvíárjökull and the famous Jökulsárlón.

At the last place I did a 12 picture panorama using the Nikon D4 and the Tamron 70-200. Quickly stitched with Lightroom 6 for a 90 Megapixel picture.
