Today we are going to Gullfoss and the Great Geysir.

Gullfoss is the most famous waterfall in Iceland. It’s quite big and nice to view. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to figure out how to get to the other side at home and today we see that it is possible. Anyway, here it is.

The Great Geysir isn’t ejecting any water since some years, only the smaller Strokkur does. And it does in regular intervals, just stay and wait for maximum 5 minutes and it will. Using the D4 in high speed mode I was able to grab 4 runs in a row with approx. 60 pictures each during the 5 seconds).

The Bruarfoss we wanted to see is not open for public to drive there so we have to skip that one. Instead we have a quick stop at the Kerið Crater.
