Short test of the Irix f2.4 on my D800. The result was not what I was looking for and what was stated on diverse websites. I sent it back next day.
While I was testing the Irix 15mm f2.4 using my D800 I started the D7200 and it do a timelapse.
A photo taken last night. Beautiful clear skies and little wind with moderate temperatures… Recording Data
I almost didn’t set off as the sky was closing in. Fortunately, I did set off after all. As in 2018, the moon only became visible late, but towards the end of totality it was still clearly visible. Until around 8:30 pm, the brightness was not sufficient to penetrate the veil near the horizon.
Last night, a remnant of the last substorm in Cuxhaven was still visible. I drove to Döse at around 10:30 pm without too much hope of seeing many auroras. However, a little northern light did become photographically visible.
