Due to offshore winds, the stormfront Sabine was not very spectacular on Sunday. Meanwhile, the newspaper reported that the high water was lower than usual.
So the trip to Obereversand was not really worthwhile.

I almost didn’t set off as the sky was closing in. Fortunately, I did set off after all. As in 2018, the moon only became visible late, but towards the end of totality it was still clearly visible. Until around 8:30 pm, the brightness was not sufficient to penetrate the veil near the horizon.
Last night, a remnant of the last substorm in Cuxhaven was still visible. I drove to Döse at around 10:30 pm without too much hope of seeing many auroras. However, a little northern light did become photographically visible.
