After I finished in Duhnen I went to the marina.
There are not many people around here on Sundays at this time of day, so it is not so obvious that there are hardly any tourists in Cuxhaven at the moment.

8. September 2025I almost didn’t set off as the sky was closing in. Fortunately, I did set off after all. As in 2018, the moon only became visible late, but towards the end of totality it was still clearly visible. Until around 8:30 pm, the brightness was not sufficient to penetrate the veil near the horizon.
Northern lights over the tidal Elbe
3. September 2025Last night, a remnant of the last substorm in Cuxhaven was still visible. I drove to Döse at around 10:30 pm without too much hope of seeing many auroras. However, a little northern light did become photographically visible.
