Planning Tuscany 2017 – Podere Belvedere
Location overview Last time we only saw this location during daytime and late afternoon. Although the late afternoon shot came out quite nicely, it is not what I was looking for. [restrict userlevel=”subscriber”] The planned locations in overview. [singlepic id=6159 w=800 h=600 float=left] The distances are between 590 and 810 meters. The morning shot […]
Planning Tuscany 2017 – Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta
The main shot The Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta was visited in 2016 as well. Unfortunately only at a time of the day when the sun was high up in the sky. In 2017 there should be plenty of time when this can be visited. I guess best time is late evening when the sun is lightning up the entrance […]
Planning Tuscany 2017 – The Houses
We are planning to revisit Tuscany in 2017. The main reason is that the autumn season we had in 2016 didn’t look as nice as we anticipated for the Val d’Orcia and Crete Sinesi photo locations. Therefore planning another short-trip only to these 2 main areas for spring time 2017. Agriturismo Baccoleno I am moving […]
Winter sunset
The sky looked promising yesterday afternoon. Low thick clouds over the area but south direction was blue sky. Sunset was close so I went to the shore near by to shoot some sunset pictures. Unfortunately, the sky didn’t turn to the full red in the cloudy area but still a nice one. Used the D800 on […]
Eurasian curlew in Cappel-Neufeld
Around 100 birds of this species are around Cappel-Neufeld area. The fillet there allows for nice positioning of tripod with camera. However, no close-ups possible there, so one would need good amount of focal length for some shootings. Used the D500 with the Nikkor 500f4 and TC-14 mounted on the Berlebach Uni-16 with Wimberley WH-200 […]
Foggy morning…
Just for one shot down to the “Alte Liebe”. With such conditions a black and whit edoes make a better job. Using the D800 with Zeiss 35f2 and Polarizer with 10-Stop ND. At f8 this was resulting in 30 seconds exposure time which smoothed the water quite well.
Sea-fowl on an overcast day
Very bad weather for doing some sea-fowl shots but I wanted to get out and do some. Not a lot to be kept on my disk though.
After the frost…
