Last night I took another set of pictures of the comet. This time from Nordholz with a few windmills in the foreground. Here’s a close-up shot using the Nikkor 300mm, stackt from 20 images. With the Fuji I also created a short timelapse.

Finally…
… clear skies. Since at least one week I wait to be able to photograph the comet C/2020 Neowise. Last night it finally worked out. However, there were no NLCs last night, but maybe this possibility will open up again next week. Here is a stack of 16 images at 200mm with the Nikon D850 […]
C/2017 T2 (PANSTARRS)
The night I wanted to take pictures of the M81/M82, I had to wait a little bit before it was dark enough. Since the C/2019 comet had burst two days before, I targeted the C/2017 T2 (PANSTARRS) comet and took 20 pictures as a test. What a pity, I wish I had taken more 🙂 […]
M42 – Orion Nebula
I have reworked my picture of the M42 from March 2020. The first version had a strong banding which became very visible in the dark areas. Furthermore I made the core a bit darker to bring out the objects there a bit better. In addition, 32 light frames were sorted out where the image was […]
Markarian’s Chain
I came across this object by chance the other day and on the night of 22 April to 23 April I tried it once. The result is not quite as I would like it to be, but the raw data does not seem to give more than that. The recording data and astrometry evaluation.
M81/M82 – Bode Nebula
YES! I finally got that guiding thing down. As I had planned it yesterday, I took another look at M81/M82. With the Kenko 1.5 teleconverter I wanted to get the two galaxies bigger in the picture. However, the strong wind has put a small trickle in my calculations. Of the 200 shots, there were […]
Leo-Triplett the third
In the night from Saturday to Sunday I pointed the telescope once more at the Leo triplet and took another 100 pictures with ISO 800 á 45 seconds. From the usable 90 images together with the usable images from April 17th I got a total exposure time of 6345 seconds. First of all I am […]
Leo Triplett 2nd version
Last night I once again targeted the Leo triplet. This time with the help of a Kenko 1.5 teleconverter and with ISO 800 instead of ISO 1600. Although there are fewer shots and less light (due to the lower ISO), I like this version much better. It is planned to increase the number of shots […]
NGC 3628 – Leo Triplet
Last night I tried the Leo triplet. Because I did not use guiding, the maximum exposure time was 45 seconds per picture. Probably too little for the faint galaxies. The recording data and astrometry evaluation.
NGC 2244 – Rosetta nebula
Last night, I tried my hand at the Rosette Nebula. Instead of the usual Nikon D5200 I had put on the Nikon D800 this time. The nebula has a large extension and with the crop camera the angle of view might have been too small. Of the 75 lights originally made, only 44 were ultimately […]
