Yesterday evening, the time had finally come again. Finally, above all, a clear sky… The forecasts were exceptionally good. After the handball game, I headed straight out and lo and behold, the green arc was already visible from my front door. What awaited me at my usual location was unbelievable. Absolutely comparable to the […]

Cuxhaven Grimmershörn
Many residents of Cuxhaven were sledding on the dike at Grünstrand beach. Once again, it was time to fly the drone in the sunshine. Of course, a flight video was also created…
Merry Christmas season…
Cuxhaven also enjoys a peaceful and beautiful Christmas season. The large, festively decorated Christmas tree on Buttplatz square is a particularly striking feature. Northern lights over the tidal Elbe
Last night, a remnant of the last substorm in Cuxhaven was still visible. I drove to Döse at around 10:30 pm without too much hope of seeing many auroras. However, a little northern light did become photographically visible.
Sail-In for the BremerhavenSail 2025
There was a lot going on on the dike in Imsum today… However, the conditions were very, very bad. With the 500 at long range, there was so much air movement in the pictures that it was horrifying. The panorama with the Nikon D800 and the Nikkor 300PF is still halfway usable.
