We had such a nice morning sky yesterday. Therefore, I tried to get some shots at Obereversand, hoping it would be a similar morning. That didn’t happen. Very foggy and the lighthouse was barely visible.

Sunday morning Cuxhaven was hit by hurricane Herwart. Some pictures taken at Kugelbake in the early morning hours.

Another stormfront at Cuxhaven’s coastline happened today around noon. The wind was coming directly into the bay. Last time, when stormfront Sebastian was here, it became obvious that the D2x is too slow for having some series shots. Therefore, I used the D800 with the Sigma 24-105 Art this time.

Very nice weather yesterday, therefore, as a warm-up for some lighthouses in Brittany, a short visit at Obereversand and the Little Prussian. Never shot the lighthouse in Dorum from the wadden sea perspective. Using the D850 with the Zeiss 35mm for all shots. The light was ok, but not perfect, as it was around 3pm […]

Taken one shot at “Dicke Berta” lighthouse in Altenbruch. The location isn’t easy to manage because you’re either too close to the lighthouse or you do have a several flaws like cables in the picture. Used the0 D800 with the Voigtländer 58/f1.4 for the shot. Conversion of the above picture to b/w.

Some sunset pictures from Glameyer-Stack which is a place, near Otterndorf, at the river Elbe. From there my hometown is nicely visible at the horizon. The sunset was quite nice having good colours. However, due to the ships moving on the river, it was not really possible to do any good time exposure.
