Spent a good hour to take some shots of the sunrise in the wadden sea close to Cuxhaven monument “Kugelbake”. Using the Sigma 35mm attached to the D2x and the Sigma 50mm at the D800 which gives comparable angles of view. Barnacle geese getting to the south for winter. The old D2x is still a […]

Cuxhaven harbour
Even in summer the weather in Iceland can be of any kind. However these days it is like there also here in Cuxhaven. Clouds, some small openings in the clouds, rain and so on. All pictures taken with Nikon D800 and Sigma 24-105f4 mounted on Gitzo DT4552TS with Arca Swiss D4. Also trying out a […]
Flight at Kugelbake
Short flight with the DJI at Cuxhaven Kugelbake. Last flight I did was in the morning hours so the sun was behind the Kugelbake. Today in the early evening hours the light was coming from the opposite side. Unfortunately still a lot of people around so I went a bit offside.
Leuchtturm Balje
Another quick drive to Balje. Some shots taken with the D4 using the Sigma 24-105. Also, this time I had the DJI with me as I wanted to do some short clips at that location. Besides the clips, I figured that the FC200 camera can also shoot RAW, however, the small chip does not bring […]
Wurster Nordseeküste
Short trip to some previous visited locations. The Qumox ActionCam was doing a series of pictures while shooting the lighthouse. A short timelapse video could be done from them.
Cuxhaven
Another early morning session at Cuxhaven landmark Kugelbake. Using the D4 with the Sigma 24-105 partially on Feisol Monopod.
Cappel-Neufeld
Some shots taken when trying out the DJI drone in Cappel-Neufeld. Nice location for bird shots as well (see other entry). All pictures using Nikon D3 with Sigma 150-600 S.
Cuxhaven Kugelbake
Some pictures in the morning hours at the landmark Kugelbake. Cold but not fully clear view, still some dust. Using the Nikon D3 with the Sigma 15-30 on Feisol tripod with Arca D4 head.
Stormfront Felix
Stormfront Felix didn’t hit Cuxhaven hard. Only slightly more water during high tide on Saturday. Opportunity to run the first test with the recently bought Sigma 15-30. Some pictures of Felix influenced weekend here, more in the SmugMug Gallery… While the quality, especially in the corners, cannot compete with the Walimex 14mm it offers some […]
