On day 4 we decided to run an early session at Agriturismo Terrapille for some morning shots. Having explored the area on day 3 already we knew where we wanted to go. Above shot was done with wide angle lens but main shots where using short tele-lens (I used the 90mm Voigtländer on the D800). […]

Tuscany 2017 – Day 3
Third day we decided to go to Montepulciano and spend the day there. In the morning I woke up quite early and did one round of shots close to the farmhouse. Later the day we tried Agriturismo Terrapille but the last location chosen did not work for me. So, not a lot of good […]
Tuscany 2017 – Day 2
On the second day, I wanted to concentrate mainly on the previously defined locations. Therefore, we went to the first location of my list. Before sunrise we reached the location to shoot Podere Belvedere where all photographers meet at that time (about 10 were there or arrived later). Shortly before sunrise we went to the […]
Tuscany 2017 – Day 1
After 1575 km we reached our destination, a farmhouse called Bonellino Vecchio, very late at 9pm. But, the next morning really made it up for such a long ride… I woke up quite early and had a first view into the valley from farmhouse’s garden. We definitely have chosen the right location for the stay. […]
Venice
The last stay was for 2 nights close to Venice. Mainly planned to avoid long travel time back home, we took the chance to have one day in the Lagoon City. Again, lots of people and selfie freaks around but for one day it was fine. We did not have a Cappuccino at the St Mark’s […]
Rome
After one week in Artimino we left for our second visit to Rome. We have been there in 2007 and just wanted to have another look at the Eternal City. Things have changed a lot. While in 2007 (we were there at a similar time of the year) there were a lot of visitors, this […]
Tuscany
From Levanto we drove via Carrara and Lucca to Artimino, our next 7 day stay in Tuscany. From there we did day trips to the planned areas. First day of our stay was utilized by the cooking course in which we learned how to make Pasta and Cantucci. Finally, after the whole trip, it was […]
Cinque Terre
We went from home by car down to Como in Italy for a one night stay because travel distance was too much to do it in one go. So, our travel truly started on the next day when we drove to Levanto. The road led us via Milano and Genova down to our first destination. […]
Jökulsárlón Panorama
On the day we left towards Ásólfsskáli we stopped a last time at Jökulsárlón. I used the Nikon D4 with Tamron 70-200f2.8 at 200mm for a panorama shot of the scene. Result were 42 portrait-mode pictures out of which 34 were used to create the panorama. I uploaded the picture in nearly full size to allow viewing […]
Iceland Pictures: Höfuðborgarsvæðið
The last region we went was Höfuðborgarsvæðið, the capital region. This is mainly Reykjavík and pictures taken were only in the city. No bird shots in this region but some black & white extracts of some pictures taken.
