Sehr touristisch (kein […]
Cuxhaven – Stormfront Xavier
Another stormfront at Cuxhaven’s coastline happened today around noon. The wind was coming directly into the bay. Last time, when stormfront Sebastian was here, it became obvious that the D2x is too slow for having some series shots. Therefore, I used the D800 with the Sigma 24-105 Art this time.
Lighthouse warm-up
Very nice weather yesterday, therefore, as a warm-up for some lighthouses in Brittany, a short visit at Obereversand and the Little Prussian. Never shot the lighthouse in Dorum from the wadden sea perspective. Using the D850 with the Zeiss 35mm for all shots. The light was ok, but not perfect, as it was around 3pm […]
Lighthouse Arngast
The Jadebusen tour wasn’t turning out that good. Although the tour itself was nice, but the chances of taking some pictures were very limited due to very misty weather. Only two chances to grab a shot of Arngast were available. The second location was already showing a lot of flickering air and therefore not working […]
Cuxhaven – Alte Liebe (using the D850)
Nice sunrise at Cuxhaven’s Alte Liebe, so, time to use the D850 for some shots. Still have to learn on using this camera as it is quite different from my D800. As Lightroom has not yet been updated, I used the Adobe DNG converter for the pictures taken. Mainly using PC-E 24mm on the camera […]
Cuxhaven – Storm front Sebastian II
Cuxhaven – Storm front Sebastian
Yesterday’s storm front Sebastian joined high tide at around 1800h CEST. Time enough to take some pictures between the rain showers. We went to Alte Liebe and harbour area and at last to the Kugelbake monument. Nice preparation for the upcoming holidays in Brittany. I used the D2x with the Sigma 24-105mm Art for the […]
Cuxhaven – Sunrise at Kugelbake
Another nice morning at the Cuxhaven monument. This time prediction for skyfire was at 80% and it came close to what I was looking for. Not enough high clouds though, but pretty nice. Above picture was taken long before sunrise at 6:40am, right after I arrived at the location at 5:15am. I used the D800 […]
Altenbruch – Dicke Berta
Taken one shot at “Dicke Berta” lighthouse in Altenbruch. The location isn’t easy to manage because you’re either too close to the lighthouse or you do have a several flaws like cables in the picture. Used the0 D800 with the Voigtländer 58/f1.4 for the shot. Conversion of the above picture to b/w.
