We were supposed to go to Hanover, but the train company threw a spanner in the works. There were virtually no trains running between Bremerhaven and Bremen due to an accident. So we decided to go to the Havenwelten. A test with the Kipon Shift Adapter for the Fuji-X was still pending. Here is […]

Sail-In for the BremerhavenSail 2025
There was a lot going on on the dike in Imsum today… However, the conditions were very, very bad. With the 500 at long range, there was so much air movement in the pictures that it was horrifying. The panorama with the Nikon D800 and the Nikkor 300PF is still halfway usable.
Bremerhaven
A picture from today in the early afternoon. A panorama of 7 individual images with the Fuji GFX and the Zeiss Biometar 80mm on the Hartblei adapter. After cropping, this resulted in an image with 35158×5868 pixels.
Exclave
Yesterday afternoon we made a tour through the exclave of Bremerhaven. The Fehrmoor is very special. Through a narrow strip of land that belongs to Lower Saxony, one gets from Bremerhaven Leherheide to the Fehrmoor. The “Große Beek” is partly the border. Unfortunately, you can not make a complete circuit, because on the western […]
Pastime in Bremerhaven
Fraunhofer Institute
During the bike ride across the Luneplate to Geestemünde, the building of the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems caught my eye. That would certainly be a nice object for architectural photography, I thought to myself. Thought, done, today in the morning I went there again. On Sundays it is always nice and quiet in […]
Luneplate to Geestemünde
Today we went by bike from the Luneplate via the fishing port to the mouth of the river Geeste. Actually, the first work on the lighthouse should begin in the afternoon. However, nothing happened yet. At least the people of Bremerhaven made sure to get many visitors to their city. This worked well; the parking […]
Lighthouse Geestemole North
Today there was sad news. Fitting for the Maritime Week 2022 in Bremerhaven, the substructure of the pier of the Geestemole Nord beacon has sunk. Although known for years, it has actually interested no one. If and when the listed tower will be rebuilt, nobody knows at the moment. Of course, no one is […]
Havenwelten
Before we went to the restaurant yesterday I made a short stop in the Schleusenstraße and a few nice shots of the Havenwelten were taken from there. With the Fuji GFx and the Mamiya 150mm a three-row panorama of about 20 images (after cropping, there were 27 shots in total). Lightroom didn’t manage to combine […]
Weddewarden
Two shots of the container terminal in Weddewarden from yesterday evening. Actually it should be a timelapse, but in the terminal area was almost no activity. Containerterminal
