Around 100 birds of this species are around Cappel-Neufeld area. The fillet there allows for nice positioning of tripod with camera. However, no close-ups possible there, so one would need good amount of focal length for some shootings. Used the D500 with the Nikkor 500f4 and TC-14 mounted on the Berlebach Uni-16 with Wimberley WH-200 […]

Foggy morning…
Just for one shot down to the “Alte Liebe”. With such conditions a black and whit edoes make a better job. Using the D800 with Zeiss 35f2 and Polarizer with 10-Stop ND. At f8 this was resulting in 30 seconds exposure time which smoothed the water quite well.
Sea-fowl on an overcast day
Very bad weather for doing some sea-fowl shots but I wanted to get out and do some. Not a lot to be kept on my disk though.
After the frost…
Birds in the backyard 2016
End of October, so, time to put the feeders back. After a short while the birds came and started to enjoy the diverse food that is offered.
Sunset at Obereversand
I did several attempts to shoot another time at Obereversand while having sunset, but either time didn’t permit or the weather was turning so that the scenery didn’t look as I was expecting. Yesterday it worked quite well. I spent 2h there shooting several scenes. Although the evening was quite nice I prefer to go […]
Cuxhaven – Common terns
Some more time spent to shoot some common terns. Besides those I also did some bunblebee shots in the garden which came out quite nicely.
Cuxhaven – Common terns
I was out to the Kugelbake area to shoot some common terns. Unfortunately the wind direction was from south-east so it was rarely seen from front when the terns flew up from the water after they picked a fish as they mostly get up against the wind. First day I used the D500 with my […]
After the thunderstorm
Some pictures taken after heavy rain and thunderstorm in the harbor area. The sun came out late in the evening while the clouds where moving towards north-east.
Cuxhaven
Sunny but also slightly foggy day. Sigma had sent back the adjusted 18-35, I wanted to give it another try with the D7200. Around the Steubenhöft and during a ferry ride some good chances to test the lens. Besides the prime lenses from Sigma this is probably the sharpest lens ever seen on DX.
