The city of Cuxhaven has published this week your calendar for the year 2023. The photos for the calendar this time all come from my portfolio. High quality prints in different sizes and on different media from the motifs in the calendar can be ordered through my printshop.

30 minutes exposure
Last night I did a 30 minute exposure with the GFx. The bright stripe just above the water level is a crab fishing boat, which was leaving just as we arrived. Surprisingly few hot pixels and noise. DXO then also helped a lot (see comparison below), and Photoshop the few that were left.
Now, however…
Last night, until about 0:30, we saw the first NLCs this season. We were again at the ferry port. At first it didn’t look like we would be lucky, but as time passed and it got dark (well, it doesn’t get really dark), first faint, then more and more visible NLCs appeared. However, it […]
Cuxhaven Grimmershörn

Cuxhaven Döse
Yesterday afternoon I flew with the DJI Mini in Döse. Although there are already many vacationers here, the hustle and bustle in Grimmershörn Bay was still limited.
Moonrise over Altenbruch

Architecture in Cuxhaven V
After it has not worked the day before yesterday to photograph the indoor swimming pool I went there again yesterday. This time the forecourt was empty and I could tackle it.
Cuxhaven architecture IV
A shot of the (no longer very pretty) round gymnasium in Cuxhaven. Actually, I wanted to photograph the new indoor pool, but there were too many people in the outdoor area. So that will have to wait.
Obereversand
While trying to see or photograph NLCs, a few shots were taken at the lighthouse Obereversand. As you can see nicely on the pictures, nothing was going on with NLCs, because the deep horizon was covered with clouds.
