A planned visit to the area there was definitely the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen. Well, that was – weather-wise – the worst day of the trip. Well, that’s how it is… It’s quite spectacular, but also very crowded, even in bad weather (I don’t think I’d want to go there in good weather; it must […]

A little bit of architecture
I had picked out a few photo locations for architecture before the trip. On the German side, this was the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein. The light there was unfortunately already too bright, yet the Vitra Design Museum designed by Frank Gehry and the Vitra House. Unfortunately for us, there was a rubble […]
Freiburg in Breisgau
7-day vacation in the south of Germany, Switzerland and France. The border triangle with Freiburg as the warmest city in Germany is a good place for explorations into the area. Black & White Cuxhaven
Three pictures from last night. The Kaiser Pharmacy I always wanted to photograph, this has finally worked out. Here and also at Ritzebüttel Castle there are lamps in use that make a reasonable white balance more or less impossible. A black/white conversion is advantageous there.
The northern Cuxland
So, here we go. The 108 page photo book about the northern Cuxland. As a supplement to the photo guide Photography in Cuxland comes here as a picture book with a little bit of writing. The quality is good, even if a few shots could have been printed a little brighter. The book binding itself […]
Alexander von Humboldt II
The Alexander von Humboldt II arrived in Cuxhaven today. At about 13 o’clock she passed the Kugelbake. Unfortunately it was too warm at noon, so there was too much air flicker.
