With the sun high in the sky last Thursday I made a panorama of four single images of the sun. The image was taken with the Skywatcher GTi mount and the Fuji X-T3 on the Maksutov 1300mm combined with the Kenko 1.5 teleconverter.

Berlin60 – Part 1
Extended photo tour with 2 photo friends in Berlin. Planned were about 60 hours stay in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe (part 2 and 3 to follow). On the first day (afternoon) a tour through the government district over to the 3XN Cube at the main station. In the afternoon, the […]
M42 – Orion Nebula
A picture from last night. Unfortunately the season is already quite advanced, so the view of Orion is not so long in the evening. Therefore here first only 3500 seconds exposure time. Maybe I will manage to add a few more exposures. Recording parameters
NGC 2264 – Cone-Nebula & Christmas Tree Cluster
I am not very satisfied with my image of NGC 2264, there should be more in it. I don’t know what exactly is the reason. Well, in any case a beginning… Recording parameters
M81-/M82-Group
On March 8 I photographed the M81/M82 group again. This time with the ASI183MC and the Skywatcher Evostar 72/420. Unfortunately I screwed up the flats and had to help myself in post-processing (the ring is still easily visible). Recording parameters
First Light
So far I was only able to use the automated installation for astrophotography once very briefly. The weather from November to February in Cuxhaven is less than modest. On Friday it was surprisingly cloudless for a few hours. So, equipment set up and tested. It was also more test than serious trying to take pictures, […]
Weddewarden
Two shots of the container terminal in Weddewarden from yesterday evening. Actually it should be a timelapse, but in the terminal area was almost no activity. Containerterminal
M42 – Orion Nebula
In the night from December 25th to 26th I had the opportunity to photograph the Orion Nebula. I am not finally satisfied with the processing, but for now it is ok. Unlike the previous shots of this object, the Running Man comes out well here. Recording data
Wintersun
Once again a few solar images. The sunspots have changed a lot compared to the last pictures. Now the last thing I will do in the near future is to try out the ZWO 120MC camera. With its 1/3″ sensor, there should still be decent magnification in it.
You can’t get more…
This morning I once again set my sights on the sun. This time I tested the GFx and the Nikon D800 on the Maksutov 1300mm in addition to the X-T3. The D800 does not work at all. Due to the mirror impact, no reasonable image came out of it. The GFx is actually quite good, […]
