Hverfjall volcano

Hverfjall (also known as Hverfell) is a tephra cone or tuff ring volcano. The crater is approximately 1 km in diameter. The rim of the crater is only accessible by two paths, from the northwest and south. It is strictly forbidden to use other routes in ascent or descent.

Kálfastrandavogar is the name of the place where the most beautiful lava pillars in Lake Mývatn can be seen. Let’s prove that.

The Námafjall is an active volcano that belongs to the volcano system Krafla. Later afternoon towards evening hours should work best at this spot.
