Went to an area near to my hometown where White-tailed eagles were seen recently. Right when I arrived one eagle was perching on a tree. He flew off for a while but came back and I was lucky that I grabbed that situation. Using the brand-new D500 with the Nikkor 500 plus TC-14 for all […]

Feldberger Seenlandschaft – Day 3
Morning session The last day of our stay in Feldberg. Another try with the White-tailed Eagle but none was seen during the boat ride. A Red Kite stopped by grabbing the eel which was thrown to attract the eagles. As no other bird was seen and it was also quite cold we went back to enjoy […]
Feldberger Seenlandschaft – Day 2
White-tailed eagle In the morning we go out again to see whether the white-tailed eagle named Aalfred would come to grab some lure. Lucky we were seeing him in the trees where he normally sits and waits. Once Fred is shouting and throws the eel out, he really takes off and grabs the fish. Unfortunately […]
Feldberger Seenlandschaft – Day 1
The tour We booked three days with Ranger Tours to do another session – like last year – for in-flight shooting of white-tailed eagles attracted with eels to fly close by the boat and allow amazing shots of the eagles grabbing the fish. Besides eagle shooting, the booked session also entailed evening boat rides to have […]
Sonntagmorgen
Birds in the backyard 2016
Assignation at the feeder place. Besides several Eurasian Tree Sparrows and Great Tits, a Greenfinch and a Hedge Sparrow showed up during a 1h session. Unfortunately the Long-tailed Tits did not pass by. Have only seen them once here and the shots I took are not really worth to be kept.
Ovation of the Seas
Bremerhaven – Ovation of the Seas
The new constructed Ovation of the Seas is docked in Bremerhaven and will get over to Hamburg this weekend. Visiting the Atlantic Hotel platform to have a nice look from above in sunny weather but later also at the Columbus Cruise Terminal. Again it proved that the Sigma Art Series do have outstanding performance. Sharpness is incredible […]
