Another drive to Hamden, looking for the Bald Eagle’s nest. On the way to there, I found another interesting place with an Osprey pair on a nest. In the afternoon I had another look at the Bald Eagle’s nest. With the Monk Parakreets they do have some annoying neighbors making a lot of noise. […]

A 90 minutes drive to Stateline Lookout from Shelton. Wanted to see whether there would be some photographer’s I’ve met before there and whether there would be some Bald Eagles still. Nice Peregrine perching when I arrived. Not much else going on, so another try at Lake Tappen but besides some other birds, more […]

Another business trip to USA North-East. This time I stay in Shelton, CT. After some investigations I found 2 places which could be worth to visit for possible Bald Eagle shots, knowing that the season is already over and most of them have moved north again. In the morning hours I drove to Southbury which […]
Leuchtturm Balje
Birds in the backyard
Unbelievable combination. The D7200 and the Sigma 150-600 S plus TC-1401 does perform so fantastic. This combo results in viewing angle of approx. 1260mm equivalent in FX. These results really open the question whether one needs to spend 8 to 10k€ for a prime lens… (still on my wishlist though :-))
Birds in the backyard
Some results from shooting with the D7200 over the last days in addition to my earlier blog entry now at SmugMug having some additional and different shots.
Seafowl
Rieselfelder Münster
Planned as a comparison of the Tamron 150-600 vs. the Sigma 150-600 with some users of a photo forum, it became obvious that not many would come over there. The weather turned out to be really bad for making a sensible test. However, some of the pictures taken there survived the wastebasket. In the afternoon of […]
Kugelbake
