Here are two views of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke in Wilhelmshaven from yesterday evening.
Both images were done with the D850 and the Sigma 24-105f/4 Art using a 1.8 ND-Filter.
A photo taken last night. Beautiful clear skies and little wind with moderate temperatures… Recording Data
I almost didn’t set off as the sky was closing in. Fortunately, I did set off after all. As in 2018, the moon only became visible late, but towards the end of totality it was still clearly visible. Until around 8:30 pm, the brightness was not sufficient to penetrate the veil near the horizon.
Last night, a remnant of the last substorm in Cuxhaven was still visible. I drove to Döse at around 10:30 pm without too much hope of seeing many auroras. However, a little northern light did become photographically visible.
…..da hätte sich der alte Wilhelm bestimmt gefreut!
Viel Glück und interessante Motive im neuen Jahr!
